Te Wharekura O Mauao

Total immersion kura of 4,500sqm. The favourite project of my career.

A rare collaboration that serves three iwi from Tauranga Moana — a central cultural building with multiple references to Mauao.

I documented the original kura with Ignite, including working closely with the Establishment Board of Trustees. I then had the pleasure of being involved in a new 6-classroom technical block as Project Director with Wingates.

A project that means more than timber and concrete.
